Spec list: Our Built SPi and MPi Engines consist of the following (unless stated otherwise)
All parts are checked for quality before machining takes place, blocks are correctly re-bored on a production boring mill ( not a clamp on ) for accuracy and oil honed on a digital readout honing centre to the correct finished size as required. Blocks are refaced then de-plugged and chemically cleaned, new camshaft bearings core plugs and oil plugs fitted, crankshafts are correctly re-ground and stroke corrected, the rotating unit is dynamically balanced.Connecting rods are checked for size and re-circled if necessary.New con rod bolts and nuts fitted.
After machining all parts are thoroughly cleaned again and re-inspected before assembly.
These engines are built with Omega pistons, fitted new con rod bolts and nuts, billet Piper fast road cross drilled Camshaft, Heavy duty cam followers, Heavy duty tri metal engine bearings, mains,big ends and thrusts, Hi Capacity Hi pressure Oil pump, simplex timing chain kit, clutch plate, Oil seals and engine gasket set.
The build includes the correct camshaft timing
